The Story

This set features a locomotive and rolling stock matched to represent the sort of rail operations as could be seen towards the end of BRs custody of the UK rail system in the 1990s. The Class 20 was one of the classes of diesel locomotive in mainline service at the time and some of them found themselves painted out of BR Blue for the first time in over a decade and into the striking colour scheme of BR Railfreight, a patchwork of grey, red and yellow. The wagons included in this set represent those that may often be seen being hauled by the BR Railfreight locomotives, in this case not a block train but one tasked with hauling individual wagonloads
